This original design is a high dome milky quartz with attractive iron veining set in sterling silver. Beauty is where you find it. This was an interesting rock I found in the alley behind my house, and this is the stone I got when I cut and polished it. I made this ring with a wide band and split shank to give it equal visual weight above and below the bezel to suit a large stone. The bezel is notched front and back so that it describes a long curve that "dives" at each end. I can cut and polish a stone of your choice to this profile; or I can use these design elements with a more traditionally profiled cabachon.
